Chocolate Chip Cake Bars
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9"x9" pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder and set aside.
- In a second larger mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla to the creamed mixture. Gradually add dry mix until coarse mixture is created. Stir in milk. (You may need to add in more milk if you mix is too dry.) Finally, stir in chocolate chips. .
- Place dough in a baking dish and press it into the sides. Put into the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown
