Sambhar For Idli

  1. Boil the Dal until mushy
  2. Chop onion, tomatoes and potatoes and put them in the pressure cooker for 2 whistles
  3. Then mix the dal, and the boiled veg together
  4. Add sambar masala powder, red chilli powder and tamarind sauce
  5. Bring it to a boil, add salt and coriander
  6. In a small pan add oil and let it heat,
  7. Once heated , add the mustard seeds, let them crackle, then add curry leaves, meethi seeds and , urad dal, and add the tadka to the dal.
  8. Let the sambhar simmer for 10 minutes and serve hot with idlis.
