Cashew Nut Casserole
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1/2 c. chow mein noodles
- 1 (10 oz.) can golden mushroom soup
- 3/4 c. stuffed green or ripe olives, sliced
- 1/2 lb. American cheese, cubed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. cashew nuts
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- Brown meat and onion.
- Add seasonings. Cook noodles in boiling water.
- Combine soup and milk.
- Stir in noodles.
- Add mushrooms, olives, cheese and seasoned beef.
- Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and stir in chow mein noodles and cashews.
- Bake an additional 20 minutes.
