Old Fashioned Pecan Cake

  1. Cream well shortening, white and brown sugar. Beat in 2 eggs. Sift cake flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Fold in chopped pecans. Pour batter into 2 (8 inch) pans. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Top with frosting.
  2. Beat all ingredients with mixer. Put chopped pecans between layers of cake and on top.
