Hamburgers
- 2 lb. or more hamburger
- 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
- 2 slices Jewish seeded rye bread
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 eggs and milk (to soften)
- Mix
- soup mix with hamburger very thoroughly with fork. Soak bread in a bowl of milk; squeeze most of the milk out of bread. Break
- into
- smalltieces.
- Add to hamburger mixture. Add chopped
- onion
- and
- mix
- again.
- Add
- eggs and whip into hamburger
- mixturetith fork until completely blended.
- Don't worry
- about
- mashing
- up the hamburger; mix thoroughly.
- Now, add milk
- a
- little at a time, until the mixture is tacky and sticks slightly
- to
- fingers
- when
- forming
- patties.
- Fry in butter over high heat
- until brown on both sides.
- Reduce heat and cook until done.
