Apple Pie Bites
- tart apple cored and sliced into 8 slices
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 package crescent rolls
- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- 1 tablespoon milk
- Place oven rack in the center position. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Open the crescent rolls and separate into 8 triangles. Place dough on a greased cookie sheet, brush with butter and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on individual piece of dough
- Roll up an apple slice in the dough forming a crescent, brush with melted butter and top with cinnamon. Repeat for others.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
- While apple pie bites are baking, combine the confectioner's sugar, vanilla flavoring, and milk in a plastic sandwich bag. Squeeze out the air. Seal. Squish the bag to mix the ingredients until smooth.
- Remove cookie sheet from oven using oven mitts and place on cooking rack. Make a tiny cut across 1 corner of sand bag using kitchen shears. Squeeze a zigzag pattern over each pastry.
- Eat and enjoy (Filling will be hot!) Makes 8 pies.
