Sweet Meatballs

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Start with the sauce. Combine brown sugar, chili sauce and beer (mixture will foam when you add the beer).
  3. Mix well and set aside.
  4. Combine meat, eggs, milk, bread crumbs, mustard and nutmeg in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed. I've found it is easiest to use your hands for this.
  6. Place flour in a small bowl.
  7. Form meat into ~1 1/4" balls.
  8. Roll each ball in the flour and shake off any excess.
  9. Place meatballs in two un-greased 9" x 13" baking pans.
  10. Pour sauce evenly over all of the meatballs.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.
  12. Turn each meatball over and bake another 25 - 30 min. or until meat is fully cooked.
  13. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
