Ring-Shaped Cookies
- 1/2 kilogram flour
- 250 grams sugar
- cookies
- anise seed
- 7 ounces white wine plus more to dip the cookies
- 3 ounces vegetable oil
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Sift the flour directly onto the work surface, make a well in the center, add the sugar, wine, oil, and a handful of aniseed.
- Knead the ingredients together; the dough should not be too soft.
- Cut the dough into many pieces, shape each piece into a link, bring the ends of each link of dough together into the shape of a ring approximately 5 centimeters in diameter.
- Dip the cookies first in white wine and then coat them with the sugar.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet which has been floured or lined with wax paper and bake for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool.
