20 Min Meal: Delicious And Easy Steamed Clams In White Wine, Garlic, Chilli, Lemon And Parsley Recipe
- 2 1/4 pounds clams
- chilli as much as you can take if you like it
- 5 cloves garlic sliced into small pieces, you can mince it as well
- fresh tomato diced
- fresh parsley
- black pepper
- white pepper
- sea salt
- 1 1/2 cups white wine
- 2 lemons
- olive oil
- butter
- baguette
- Prepare all your ingredients so you do have them on hand. It will make your cooking journey much easier and you will enjoy it better.
- Heat up a large pot on medium/high heat and when it is hot add your olive oil (I use about 5 tablespoons - quite a lot but since there is no pasta lets enjoy this healthy fat) and chilli. Fry it for few seconds and now add 1 tablespoon of butter, your garlic and the stems of your parsley cut into smaller pieces and your tomato as well. Season with your black and white pepper and a pinch of sea salt. Stir well for less than a minute and add now your clams and set the pot on the highest heat. Add immediately your wine and the rest of the parsley, juices of one lemon and cover your pot with the lid. nhake your pot about every minute so nothing gets burnt and the heat will be evenly distributed. Keep you clams covered for 8 minutes. After that your clams should all be opened. Toss away the closed ones since they are not good enough to eat. ndd 2 tablespoons of butter and juices of one lemon. Stir all well together so the juices combines well.
