Cheesy Meatloaf
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt I use Lawry's
- 1 onion medium, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper medium, chopped
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese grated
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup crushed crackers I have only used Ritz
- 2 slices bread optional for lining a loaf pan on the bottom
- 12 ounces chili sauce I recommend Homade
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Mix all meatloaf ingredients together, except the 2 bread slices and Glaze. Shape into a loaf. Line a 11/2 quart loaf pan with the bread slices (the bread absorbs the grease and should be discarded after loaf is removed from oven).
- In a small bowl combine the chili sauce and the brown sugar. Stir well.
- Place meatloaf on top of the bread slices and pour the glaze mixture over the top. Bake loaf for 45-50 minutes, or until done.
