Caramel Praline Brownies
- 1 bag (14 oz.) caramels
- 1/3 c. milk
- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. butter or margarine melted
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Melt caramels with milk, stirring often.
- Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
- Blend thoroughly sugar, flour, cocoa and soda; set aside.
- Mix melted butter and eggs.
- Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients and stir just until smooth.
- Spread batter into pan and bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 20 minutes.
- Carefully remove from oven and gently pour melted caramels over brownies. Sprinkle pecans over top.
- Return to oven and bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes.
- Do not overbake.
- Makes about 2 dozen 2 x 2-inch brownies.
