Strawberry Cake - Eggless
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 4 tablespoons curd
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 1 stick butter
- 250 grams strawberry
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 C/450 F for 10 minutes. Line the baking tray with butter/oil and keep it ready.
- Combine all purpose flour,atta and baking powder together to avoid any lumps and keep it separate.
- Beat butter/oil and sugar together to get it soft and fluffy.
- Add curd, vanilla essence and beat it continuously.
- Lastly add milk and the dry ingredients together.
- Wash and cut the strawberries into halves.
- Pour the batter onto the baking tray and level the top with a spatula.
- Now top the batter with strawberries with the cut side facing down.
- Keep it in oven for around 30-45 minutes and bake.
- Check with a toothpick and if it comes out clean, then the cake is ready.
- Take out and let it cool for 10 minutes. Invert onto a rack and let it cool to attain room temperature.
- You can have it as it is or with ice cream on top of it. I just loved it as it is. It was so soft and fluffy.
