Classic Waldorf Salad

  1. Pour the pineapple with its juice into a small saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until juice comes to a boil, about 4 to 6 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour gelatin mix into large, glass mixing bowl.
  5. Carefully pour pineapple and juice into bowl.
  6. Stir with a wooden spoon until gelatin is dissolved.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator until it is cool and begins to thicken, about 2 hours.
