Beef And Mushrooms(Serves 4 To 6)

  1. Cut sirloin into thin strips about 4-inches long.
  2. In a large frypan, brown meat in oil.
  3. Add onion and garlic powder; cook until onions are tender.
  4. Add soy sauce, mushrooms, beef bouillon cubes, water chestnuts and/or pea pods and 2 cups of the water. Cover; simmer until meat is tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
  5. Combine cornstarch with remaining 1/2 cup of water and add to meat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Serve over hot fluffy rice or noodles.
  7. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
