Tomato And Mozzarella Salad
- 8 cherry tomatoes each of red and yellow vine
- 3 vine tomatoes medium sized
- 1 romaine lettuce cut into strips
- 1 buffalo Mozzerella
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder English
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 pinch sea salt and a good grind of black pepper
- 1 sprig fresh oregano or Basil
- First make the salad dressing, cut the clove of garlic up into a few pieces and put into a mortar with the salt, pound the garlic with the pestle until it resembles a smooth paste then add the mustard powder, pepper and olive oil, mix well with the pestle while adding the Balsamic vinegar. set to one side.
- Cut the larger tomatoes in half then cut each half into 3 wedges, pop them into a bowl with the cherry tomatoes and mix together. Assemble the washed and sliced lettuce in the middle of the serving plate/plates and surround the lettuce with the tomatoes.
- Chop the Mozzarella into 1 inch share cubes then tumble onto of the lettuce.nf you have a Squeezy bottle with a nozzle then put the salad dressing in it and squeeze it on top of the salad in a zig zag pattern, otherwise pour it into a small jug and drizzle over.
- Serve straight away at room temperature with a few torn leaves of Oregano or Basil on the top.
