Cottage Cheese And Figs Tureen

  1. Soak the dried figs in a bowl with warm water.
  2. Rinse the fresh figs and slice carefully. Place the figs on a plate, cover with plastic wrap and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mash the cottage cheese with a fork. Mix in the cream and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Drain the figs and cut into pieces.
  5. Line a ramekin with plastic wrap.
  6. Cover the bottom of the ramekin with a layer of the cheese mixture pressing well.
  7. Cover the cheese with a layer of dried figs and again with cheese mixture and so on. Place the ramekin in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Turn tureen out onto a plate, cover with fresh fig slices and serve immediately.
