Maryland Style Mac N' Cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Boil a pot of water and cook pasta shells to Al Dante firmness.
  3. Melt butter on medium heat in a medium-large saucepan. Then add flour slowly. Stir in milk and cream. Whisk until thick. Stir in sour cream until consistent. Slowly add 3 cups (12oz) of cheese blend while whisking. Mix until fairly consistent. Stir in salt, garlic and onion powder, 2/3 of the green onions, and 1/4 tsp Old Bay. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour shells into a casserole dish. Then, mix in sauce.
  5. In a bowl, mix remaining cheese, Old Bay, green onions, and bread crumbs together. Then, sprinkle mixture evenly over shells and sauce mix.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
