Cumin And Garam Masala Minced Beef Curry
- 1 onion
- 1/8 teaspoon tomatoes can Del Monte Whole
- 1 piece ginger
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 1/2 ounces minced beef
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 teaspoons Kikkoman Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- salt
- Finely mince onion. Roughly chop whole tomatoes. Peel and grate ginger and garlic.
- Put 1 1/2 T cooking oil in a heavy pan and add onion and cumin seeds. Heat slowly and stir. Add tomatoes and continue heating.
- Put 1 1/2 T cooking oil in a frying pan. Add ginger and garlic and heat to release their aroma. Add beef and stir-fry. Add turmeric and soy sauce. Transfer the ingredients from the frying pan to the heavy pan.
- Add 2 cups water to the heavy pan and cook over a high flame. Reduce heat when it boils. Cook for an additional 20 minutes. Add garam masala and season with a pinch of salt.
- May be served with buttered rice
