Oreo And Nutella Brownies
- 1 3/16 cups dark chocolate plain/
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/8 cups softened butter
- 4 1/8 cups caster sugar
- 3/4 cup self-raising flour
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 5 tablespoons Nutella or chocolate spread
- 1 7/16 cups oreos
- Heat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade and line a 20cm square tin with baking parchment before pouring about 5cm of water into a pan and heating it.
- While the water is heating separate the inside of the Oreo from the actual biscuit part. but keep both parts, you'll be needing them in a minute. Once the water is boiling, place a glass bowl inside the pan, creating a bain marie, with all of the chocolate. Stir occasionally.
- Once most of the chocolate has melted remove the pan from the heat and add in the white inner part of the Oreos. Stir until they have melted before adding in the nutella. Once they have mixed to create a smooth chocolatey mixture leave to the side.
- In a large bowl beat the butter and sugar to a smooth consistency before adding in the eggs. Next sift in both of the flours and the cocoa. Once it is all mixed together add in the melted chocolate mixture. Stir.
- Now break the Oreo slices into smaller bits before mixing into the batter. Pour the mixture into the tray and place the tray into the oven for 45-55 mins approx. It may take a little longer so just keep an eye out.
- Once the brownies are cooked remove from the oven and leave to cool for 10 mins. Once they have cooled slightly, slice and serve. (Best served warm)
