Coffee And Walnut Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Grease a 24 centimeter bundt pan with margarine and sprinkle with flour. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, slightly melt the margarine in the microwave.
  4. Add 220 grams of sugar, and whisk well.
  5. Add the coffee, and then the egg yolks, and whisk well until obtaining a homogeneous dough.
  6. Add the flour and baking powder, and continue stirring until blended.
  7. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt.
  8. Add to the previous dough with a spoon, without whisking, mixing gently upwards.
  9. Place the dough in the pan, and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar, and the chopped walnuts.
  10. Bake for about 35 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven, and unmold.
