Apple Rose Puffs

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0 F
  2. Prepare a muffin tin
  3. Thinly slice apples (skin on). Depending on the size of the apple I used about 1/2 apple per rose
  4. Place apples in bowl with the juice of the lime and enough water to cover
  5. Microwave on high until apples can bend without breaking
  6. Take out of the water and pat dry
  7. Roll the puff pastry into about a 10" x 16" rectangle
  8. Cut into 5 strips (along the short edge)
  9. Heat sauce in microwave to ease in spreading
  10. Spread some sauce on the strip of puff pastry
  11. Arrange apple slices on the top half of the slice from end to end
  12. Fold lower half over apples, and roll
  13. Place in muffin tin
  14. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden and done (sauce will bubble into pan)
  15. Let cool for 5 minutes, loosen and remove to finish cooling
  16. Sprinkle with icing sugar, or use pixie dust to decorate edges
