Peanut Butter Cookies With A Twist
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2/3 c. sesame seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. margarine
- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. toasted wheat germ
- In a medium mixing bowl, stir together flour, sesame seed and baking soda.
- In a large mixer bowl, beat margarine with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds or until softened. Add brown sugar, peanut butter, eggs, vanilla and nutmeg; beat well on medium speed.
- Add flour mixture, beating on low speed until combined.
- Shape into 1-inch balls.
- Roll in wheat germ.
- Place 2-inches apart on a greased cookie sheet and gently flatten with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake in a 375u0b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown on the bottom.
- Remove and cool on a wire rack. Makes about 60 cookies.
