Deluxe Brownies With Caramel Topping

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Heat margarine and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly until melted.
  3. Cool slightly.
  4. Beat sugar, vanilla and eggs on high speed 5 minutes.
  5. Beat in chocolate mixture on low speed.
  6. Beat in flour just until blended. Spread in 9 x 9 x 2-inch square pan that is slightly greased. Bake just until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan, 40 to 45 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, in small saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with milk.
  8. Stir until smooth.
  9. After brownies finish baking, sprinkle with chips and nuts.
  10. Drizzle with caramel.
  11. Let brownies cool completely before cutting into 2-inch squares. Makes 16 brownies.
