Meatballs With Passion Fruit-Curry Dip
- 1 roll bread, soaked in cold water
- 1 9/16 cups yoghurt natural
- 6 3/4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons curry powder
- 3 Orange ripe, granadillas, passion fruit, halved and the flesh scraped out
- 3 stalks parsley chopped finely
- 1 onion peeled and finely diced
- 1 egg
- 1 1/8 pounds minced beef
- 1 pinch paprika
- 2 teaspoons chilli paste sambal oelek
- 3 tablespoons oil
- For the dip, mix the yogurt, mayonnaise, curry powder and passion fruit flesh. Add milk to thin out, if desired. Season to taste.
- For the meatballs, mix the ground beef, soaked roll, onion, parsley, egg, paprika and chili paste. Season then shape into 20 meatballs. Heat the oil in a large pan and cook the meatballs for 7-8 mins, turning as necessary. Serve them with the dip.
