Celery Au Gratin(Serves 4 Or 5)
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. dill weed
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 3 c. cooked 1-inch celery pieces
- 1/3 c. chopped peanuts
- 2 Tbsp. chopped pimiento
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onions
- 1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- Over low heat melt 2 tablespoons margarine in a small saucepan. Blend in flour, dill weed, salt, dry mustard and pepper.
- Stir in milk.
- Over medium heat, bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Add grated Cheddar cheese and stir until cheese is melted.
- Fold cooked celery, chopped peanuts, pimiento and onions into sauce.
- Spoon into greased 1-quart casserole.
- Combine bread crumbs and melted margarine.
- Sprinkle over mixture.
- Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until hot.
- Serve immediately.
