Crunchy Caramelised Apples And Vanilla
- 4 scoops Carte D'Or Vanilla Ice Cream 100g/200ml
- 3 1/4 cups cooking apples peeled, cored, sliced and diced
- 3 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 3 5/8 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 9/16 cup biscuits crumbled
- 11/16 ounce toasted hazelnuts chopped
- 2 9/16 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 4 7/8 tablespoons caramel sauce
- Saute the apples in a large frying pan over a medium heat with the butter, sugar and cinnamon for approximately 15 minutes, until the apple is soft in texture.
- Mix together the crumbled biscuits and chopped nuts.
- Warm the caramel sauce in a small pan or in the microwave for 1 minute.
- Divide the apple mixture between 4 serving plates or ramekins.
- Sprinkle over the biscuit mix.
- Scoop balls of Carte D'Or Vanilla Ice Cream and place 1 on top of the biscuit mix on each plate.
- Serve drizzled with the hot caramel sauce.
