Magic Nanaimo Bars

  1. Lightly grease 9-inch square pan.
  2. Melt 1/2 cup butter or margarine; stir in sugar and cocoa.
  3. Remove from heat; add egg and vanilla.
  4. Stir in cracker crumbs, coconut and walnuts.
  5. Press into pan.
  6. Cream 1/4 cup butter, milk, custard powder and powdered sugar.
  7. Spread over bottom layer.
  8. Put into freezer for 7 minutes. Melt semi-sweet chocolate.
  9. Remove bars from freezer and drizzle chocolate over top.
  10. Cut into small squares.
