Baked Crabmeat Spread
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. chopped red bell pepper
- 2 Tbsp. sliced green onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 c. cooked crabmeat (frozen or canned)
- 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
- Add red pepper, onions and garlic; cook until vegetables are tender, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir in flour and pepper; cook 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk; cook until mixture boils, stirring constantly.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Remove from heat; fold in crabmeat.
- Pour into greased 9-inch pan; sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned and cheese is melted.
- Serve with Melba toast rounds.
