Eating Wells Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl stir together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  4. Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  5. Cook, swirling the pan, until the butter turns nutty brown, 30 to 60 seconds.
  6. Pour into a large mixing bowl.
  7. Add cream cheese, brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  8. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until smooth. Add egg, egg white and vanilla; beat until well incorporated.
  9. Add the reserved flour mixture and chocolate chips and stir with a wooden spoon just until combined.
  10. (The batter will be runny.) Drop the batter by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto the prepared baking sheets.
  11. Bake, one sheet at a time, for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden.
  12. Transfer the cookies to racks and let cool.
