Chicken Mushroom Bake
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken breasts, boned, skinned and cut into 1-inch strips
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 can condensed mushroom soup
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 c. canned sliced mushrooms, drained (fresh can be used if sauteed lightly)
- 2/3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- Combine flour, salt, paprika and pepper in a paper bag.
- Shake chicken strips in flour mixture until coated.
- Melt butter in a large skillet; brown chicken on all sides in skillet.
- Place in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Combine soup, sour cream and mushrooms and pour over chicken.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour or until tender, uncovered.
- Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven just until cheese is melted.
