Kay'S Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/3 tsp. almond extract
- 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
- Cream together the sugars and butter that has softened. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients (flour, soda and salt).
- Add the vanilla and almond extracts; beat well.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
- (Caution:
- This is a very thick dough.)
- Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
- Remove from pans; cool on wire racks.
- Makes about 3 dozen.
