Low-Fat Chili(Quick)
- 1 bell pepper (red or green)
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 can Italian stewed tomatoes
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. hot red pepper sauce
- 2 tsp. cider vinegar
- pepper to taste
- Chop pepper, onion and garlic very fine.
- Put tomatoes, chopped pepper, onion and garlic in a microwave covered dish. Microwave at 100u0b0 for 9 minutes.
- In a large frying pan, cook turkey, adding cumin, oregano, chili powder, pepper sauce and cider vinegar as you stir.
- Break up meat chunks as they cook. Add cooked vegetables to frying pan, mixing with meat mixture. Cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
- Serve over cooked rice.
