Double-Chocolate Fudge Squares

  1. In a small bowl, mix flour and soda.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and water.
  4. Bring just to a boil; remove from heat.
  5. Add 1 cup chocolate pieces and vanilla and stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
  6. Transfer to a medium bowl.
  7. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
  8. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until smooth. Stir in remaining chocolate pieces and the nuts.
  9. Spread in greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  10. Bake at 375u0b0 for about 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool completely on wire rack.
  11. Cut in 16 squares.
