Mindy'S Creamed Chipped Beef
- 1 package chipped beef and or jar of dried
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 can water chestnuts sliced
- 1 package puff pastry shells Pepperidge Farms, cook according to the directions on the box.
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and add the dried chipped beef.
- Boil for about 4 minutes. Drain the chipped been and set aside in a bowl
- Saute the pepper and onion in the butter until the onions are translucent
- Stir in the flour and stir constantly
- Add the milk and stir constantly until the recipe thickens
- Add the cooked chipped beef and stir into the mixture
- Add the drained water Chestnuts to the mixture, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes
- Spoon the mixture into the baked puff pastry shells
- Serve immediately.
