Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat your oven to 180oC/350OF/Gas mark 4 and grease two large tins
  2. Melt your butter then beat it together with the sugar until all of it is combined.
  3. Add vanilla extract and the egg and beat well, being careful not to over beat the mixture
  4. Sieve in the plain flour and the baking powder and fold into the mix.
  5. Stir in your chocolate chips until thoroughly combined
  6. Put your oreos into a freezer bag or large sandwich bag and, using a rolling pin, bash them up until some of them are crumbs and there are some bigger pieces.
  7. Put the oreos into the mixture too
  8. With your hands, take out a small amount of mixture and roll it into a ball (use as much mixture as you want, depending on how big you want your cookie to be) then place it on the tray and flatten it down a bit. Continue doing this until all the mixture has been used up.
  9. Finally, put the cookies into the oven for 9-12 minutes depending on the heat of the oven. (Maybe check them after 8 minutes) Once they are golden brown only at the edges, take them out and put them on a cooling tray.
  10. Enjoy your cookies!
