Pan Fried Chicken And Gravy

  1. Cook rice according to instruction and set aside
  2. Cut chicken breasts into quarters
  3. Season chicken breasts generously
  4. Chop onion and set aside
  5. Using a medium sized pot, put one half stick of butter in the pot and turn the heat on medium low.
  6. Add onion and let simmer for 5 min
  7. Put heat on medium high and add chicken to the pot and let cook on each side for about 3 min
  8. Keeping an eye on the chicken, continuously turn the chicken to brown all sides
  9. Remove chicken from pot once cooked and add one half cup of chicken stock or water and put the heat on medium low.
  10. Add 1 can cream of chicken and stir
  11. Put chicken into gravy and cover. Turn off heat.
  12. Serve over rice and add preferred vegetables or sides
