Lady Marmalade Cocktail
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Orange medium
- 8 ounces whiskey
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 bitters dashed of, such as cardamom or Angostura

- Add water, sugar and orange zest to a saucepan and bring to a simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Once cooled, strain the zest using a fine mesh sieve.
- Infuse the whiskey by placing the cinnamon sticks in a jar or glass dish with an airtight seal and covering with whiskey. Allow to sit in a cool, dark place for at least 1 week before removing the cinnamon. (this step should be done in advance)
- Rim 4 cocktail glasses with granulated honey, or light brown sugar if granulated honey is not available, by dipping the edge of the glass first in water or orange juice then in the honey or sugar granules.
- Put a dash of bitters into each glass. Pour 2 oz each of the infused whiskey, orange juice, and orange simple into each glass, fill with ice, and top with a splash of soda water.
