Simple Turkey Chili Crock-Pot
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 can kidney beans no salt added, organic - drained and rinsed
- 1 can great northern beans no salt added, organic - drained and rinsed
- 1/2 red pepper chopped
- 1/2 green pepper chopped
- 1 onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 16 ounces vegetable stock
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 can crushed tomatoes or diced, no salt added, undrained
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- Add ground turkey, onion, peppers and garlic to crock-pot set on high and cook while measuring out the spices and draining/rinsing beans.
- Mix crock-pot ingredients then add in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans, great northern beans, and vegetable or chicken stock. Give the ingredients a thorough mixing then add in the spices/seasoning: cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.
- Set the temperature to low and cook for about 4 and a half hours. Feel free to set the temperature to high and cook for about half the time, if you'd like.
