Farfalle With Chicken And Caramelized Vegetables
- olive oil
- 1 onion large, chopped
- 2 leeks chopped
- 5 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- salt to taste
- 7/8 pound farfalle pasta
- 2 chicken breasts cut into slices or cubes
- 1/2 lemon small
- 1 can garbanzo beans drained
- 12 chives chopped
- Start by heating a skillet with a little olive oil.
- When the olive oil gets hot, add the onion, leek, and garlic.
- When the onion and leek starts to get brown, add the sugar and mix everything very well.
- If necessary, add more olive oil.
- Meanwhile, heat a pot with water seasoned with salt.
- When the water starts boiling, add the pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Drain pasta and set aside.
- Add the chicken breast to the skillet with the onions and leeks. Season with salt and lemon juice and let it cook until it is golden.
- Before removing from heat, add the garbanzo beans, mix and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Put the pasta back in the pan and add the meat mixture and the chopped chives. Mix everything and serve.
