Teddy'S Stuffed Cabbage

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Make the rice (instant is fine, I made it with instant long grain brown rice)
  3. Boil the head of cabbage in a large pot - 4-5 minutes. Drain when finished.
  4. You can do this next step while the cabbage is boiling - In a baking dish, add meat (uncooked), egg, breadcrumbs, onion, and rice. Mix together thoroughly using your hands (a chef's best tool!). Throw in some salt and pepper, garlic, onion powder, or anything other seasonings you might like.
  5. Coat the bottom of the baking dish with a little (1 cup or so) spaghetti sauce.
  6. Once mixing is done, take off one leaf of the cabbage. Wrap about 1 1/2 cups of the meat mixture in the cabbage leaf like a burrito. When finished, place in baking dish. It's okay to use 2 or 3 leaves - just make sure everything is covered.
  7. Repeat process until all of the mixture is wrapped. I filled up my baking dish and used the rest of the mixture to make a small meatloaf!
  8. Pour the rest of the spaghetti sauce on top.
