Bindi

  1. Blend 1 Jalepeno, 4 cloves garlic, and 5-10 stems of cilantro.
  2. Saute onion until it is light brown (or use vagar).
  3. Add 1 1/2 tsp of cumin seed, 1/2 tsp of tumeric powder, 1/4 tsp of red chili (or cayanne pepper). Also add the green sauce that was blended.
  4. Add 4 roma tomatoes (or 1/3 cup of crushed tomato).
  5. Add 3/4 tsp of salt.
  6. Mix everything until see oil. Then add okra and mix.
  7. lower heat and cover the pot to let okra cook for 1/2 hour.
  8. once okra is soft, add juice from 1 lime.
  9. bindi should be dry and not sticky or watery.
