Baked Salmon

  1. Place the leeks onto the foil.
  2. Place the salmon on top of the leeks.
  3. Divide the butter onto each piece of salmon.
  4. Layer the ginger, garlic, onion, lemon slices and spring onions.
  5. Top with a generous amount of cilantro.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Fold up the sides of the foil to create a pouch in which the soy sauce, when poured in, will not drip out.
  8. Pour in the soy sauce.
  9. Place on a cooking tray.
  10. Put into a 350 degree preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  11. Check at 15 minutes to see if the salmon is cooked to your liking.
  12. The middle should still be a bit pink.
  13. Place over a bed of rice or mashed potatoes.
  14. Pour the sauce on top.
  15. Discard the ginger and lemon rind.
