Rice Yeast Bread(Makes Either 2 Loaves Or 24 Rolls)
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 3 pkg. yeast or 3 Tbsp.
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 or 6 c. flour
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/4 c. wheat germ
- 1/4 c. cracked wheat
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. scalded milk *
- 1/2 c. sugar less 2 tsp.
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 cube margarine or butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. lukewarm (105~ to 115~), with 2 tsp. sugar added
- *If milk is pasteurized it is unnecessary to scald it, but do heat it to lukewarm, about 110u0b0.
