Italian Beef Pie

  1. Cut sausage into 1/2-inch pieces and brown slowly in a skillet.
  2. Remove from pan.
  3. Dredge the beef cubes in flour, salt and pepper; brown in the drippings in the skillet.
  4. Remove from pan and set aside with sausage.
  5. Saute onion in drippings.
  6. Place onion, sausage and beef cubes in pot.
  7. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  8. Place mixture in 3-quart casserole.
  9. Cover and bake at 300u0b0 for 2 hours and 20 minutes.
