Cannolis
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon cranberry juice
- 1 egg white beaten
- 1 liter oil for frying
- Place the flour, sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, and salt into the mixer. Mix together and add the oil and vinegar. Add the cranberry juice little by little. Mix to form a soft dough.
- Separate a section of dough and refrigerate the rest. Roll out the section, it should be very thin. Cut into circles and set aside.
- Roll each circle into an oval and wrap around a funnel to form a cone. Dab egg white where the dough meets to seal together.
- Heat the oil to 180 Celsius and fry the cones, preferably one at a time, until golden. Drain well. Allow to cool.
- Fill as desired. Repeat with the chilled dough.
