Homemade Citrus Sweet Rolls

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and 1 Tbsp. sugar in warm water. Let stand 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine 3 1/2 cups of the flour, the remaining sugar and the salt
  3. Cut in 1/2 cup butter until crumbly. Add the yeast mixture, cream and egg yolks.
  4. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top.
  6. Refrigerator for 6 - 8 hours.
  7. Punch the dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Divide in half; roll each half into a 15X12 inch rectangle.
  8. Melt the remaining butter; brush over the dough.
  9. Combine filling ingredients' sprinkle over the dough.
  10. Roll up, jelly-roll style, beginning with a long side. Pinch the seam to seal.
  11. Cut each roll into about 15 pieces. Place the slices, cut side down, in two greased 9 inch pie plates. Cover and let rise until doubled (about 45 minutes)
  12. Bake at 375 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.
  13. Combine glaze ingredients until smooth; drive over the warm rolls.
  14. Cool in pans on wire racks.
