Chili
- 2 to 3 cans kidney beans (15 oz.) cans
- 2 cans crushed tomatoes or whole (28 oz. cans)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
- 1 can tomato paste (6 oz.)
- 1 green pepper, chopped up
- 2 medium onions, chopped up
- 1 to 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 Tbsp. basil
- 1 Tbsp. cayenne red pepper
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. coriander
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 to 2 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
- 1/2 to 1 beer or water
- Cook the meat, beef or turkey; drain off any grease. Saute the green peppers, onions and garlic for about 4 to 5 minutes until soft. Mix all the ingredients in a large pot and simmer for 1 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. If it's not hot enough, you can add hot sauce.
