Whole-Wheat Pasta With Tomato Sauce
- whole wheat pasta
- 250 grams whole wheat pasta uncooked
- olive oil
- sea salt to taste
- tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- sea salt to taste
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil chopped
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 cup fresh peas
- 6 tomato paste once
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast

- In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions, garlic cloves and saute until they begin to soften.
- Add tomato pasta, peas, pinch of salt and mix well. Let simmer for 1 - 2 minutes.
- Then, add basil, oregano, thyme, brown sugar and mix.
- Reduce heat to low, and cook for a 3 - 4 minutes. Set the seasoning to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Cook whole wheat pasta in a large pan boiling salted water for 7 - 9 minutes, or until al dente. Then, drain pasta and place in a large bowl.
- Top with tomato sauce, nutritional yeast and fresh basil and serve.
