Whole Wheat Pasta Stir Fry With Mushrooms And Sesame
- 9/16 pound whole wheat spaghetti
- salt
- 5 1/4 cups mushrooms sliced
- 1/2 yellow onion thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Cook the pasta in water with salt until al dente.
- Heat the sesame oil in a wok or skillet and saute the onion for 3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and saute for 2 more minutes.
- Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and maple syrup. Saute for 5 minutes until the vegetables are firm, but cooked. Remove from heat.
- When the pasta is ready, drain it, and add to the wok. Mix well and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
