Beef Stew With Vegetables(Serves 6 To 8)

  1. Put oil and meat in a large pan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until meat is brown.
  3. Add water and salt.
  4. Turn heat to high and bring to boil.
  5. Cover.
  6. Turn heat to low.
  7. Cook for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
  8. Stir every 15 minutes.
  9. Add vegetables and tomato juice.
  10. Turn heat to medium.
  11. Cook 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  12. Put 1 cup of water and 1/3 cup of flour into a pint jar.
  13. Cover and shake well.
  14. Add to stew.
  15. Cook, stirring often until stew thickens.
  16. Should take about 5 minutes.
